High Street vs Out of town mall

I was walking down the High street today as I do every site visit to understand how the landscape has changed. The high street acts as a conduit for commercial and economic activity within a town. Towns like Chemin Grenier are often ignored in favour of the big malls.
My father had started the building with the context an IRS scheme on the Chamouny Plaine Champagne road, the project is now not going forward. Unfortunately he died without leaving a final playbook.
I came back to Mauritius almost ten years later to look at what to do. There was an opportunity as malls concentrated themselves on the central plain and that opening up different units provided a resilient income in case one tenant left.

The recognition is nice (and not paid for), but to revitalise the high street takes coordination. With a wider context of geo political uncertainty and economic constraints the spending power of Mauritians has taken a hit, making co-ordination harder.
Our family the Saccaram's were born on the land where CG One sits, we have a connection to the town and also a responsibility. CG One provides employment and economic opportunities and an attraction to tourists and residents in the surrounding areas.

I would like to engage with local councillors, businesses, residents and politicians to see how we can engage in projects around beautifying the town and tackling problems like drugs and unemployment.
